The Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan descends from the United Grand Lodge of England through an unbroken chain of consecration. Each link was formed upon no fewer than three regularly constituted Lodges, before accredited witnesses.

- 1995
Grand Lodge of Russia
Moscow

Almaty

The Three Standards of Regularity
The Commission on Information for Recognition of the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America assesses every Grand Lodge against three Standards for Recognition, adopted in 1952. The Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan meets each of them.
- 1
Legitimacy of origin
“Legitimacy of origin.”
The Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan was consecrated on 12 November 2016 by the Grand Lodge of Russia, in an unbroken line of consecration that runs through the Grande Loge Nationale Française to the United Grand Lodge of England.
- 2
Exclusive territorial jurisdiction
“Exclusive territorial jurisdiction, except by mutual consent and/or treaty.”
It has held exclusive territorial jurisdiction in the Republic of Kazakhstan since its consecration.
- 3
Adherence to the Ancient Landmarks
“Adherence to the Ancient Landmarks – specifically, a Belief in God, the Volume of the Sacred Law as an indispensable part of the Furniture of the Lodge, and the prohibition of the discussion of politics and religion.”
Its Constitution requires of every Brother a belief in the Great Architect of the Universe, places the Volume of the Sacred Law open in every Lodge at work, and forbids the discussion of religion and politics in the Lodge.
Recognition
The Commission on Information for Recognition of the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America found that the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan “appears to meet the requirements for recognition”.
On 18 September 2026 the Grand Lodge of Russia reaffirmed in writing that it recognises the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, under its Grand Master, M.W. Bro. Sergey Kravchenko, as the regular, sovereign and independent Grand Lodge of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
